Google Pixel eSIM Installation Instructions
To install eSIM on your Google Pixel phone, you can follow these streamlined steps:
1. Access Settings:
- Open the Settings app on your Google Pixel.
2. Go to Network:
- Tap on Network & Internet > Mobile Network.
3. Add Carrier:
- Select Add Carrier.
4. Choose eSIM Method:
- You can opt to Download your SIM instead of using a physical SIM card. If prompted, connect to a Wi-Fi network to proceed.
5. Scan QR Code:
- Use your Pixel's camera to scan the eSIM QR Code provided by your carrier.
You can also save the eSIM QR code to your phone and then upload it through the photo album.
6. Follow On-Screen Instructions:
- Complete the setup by following the on-screen prompts. This may include naming your eSIM and setting it as your preferred or default line for calls, texts, and data.
7. Confirm Activation:
- Once the eSIM is successfully added, it will appear in the Mobile Network section. You might need to restart your phone to complete the activation process.
For Manual Installation:
If you do not have a QR code, you may have the option to enter the eSIM details manually during the setup process. You'll need to provide the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code, which should be available from your carrier.
Finalizing Setup:
- Enable Data and Roaming:
- Make sure Mobile Data is turned on. If you're traveling or require data services outside your carrier's network, enable Roaming.
- Select Preferred SIM for Data:
- If you have multiple SIMs (eSIM and/or physical SIM), you can specify which one to use for mobile data in the Mobile Network settings.
These instructions should guide you through the process of installing and activating an eSIM on your Google Pixel phone.
